Game Platforms
Its amazing how consoles have evolved since 1967, what you can do with consoles now compared to what you could do with consoles in 1967 is phenomenal how much we have managed to change consoles.
In the world over generations there have been many different types of platforms that have been created. In the last 46 years games consoles have come a long way starting from the first home console which was called the Brown Box which was created in 1967 by a man called Ralph H. Baer who went on to create the first Magnavox Odyssey in 1972 as well as the next 5 Magnavox Odyssey (Magnavox Odyssey 100, Magnavox Odyssey 200, Magnavox Odyssey 300, Magnavox Odyssey 400, Magnavox Odyssey 500).
The first coin based arcade machine came along not long after the Brown Box, the game played on this arcade cabinet was called "Computer space". This arcade machine was the first commercially sold console which was invented and sold in the year 1971, 4 years after the Brown Box and 1 year before the first Magnavox Odyssey.
As you would expect the next generation consoles have a lot less limitations due to the fact that now technology has improved a lot over the last 46 years. This is shown by the fact that we have changed from games such as pong to games such as Skyrim. The way these games show how far games have gone is because pong is a 2D basic game with low graphics whereas Skyrim is a 3D game that has phenomenal graphics (which look almost like really life) where you are able to venture around the map with hundreds of quest in which you can do as well as intelligent AI's that when you come within range of them you are able to either talk to them if they are friendly or you are able to attack them if they aren't friendly.
This is also shown by the improvement of hardware and software within the consoles. This is shown by the fact that these consoles are able to read games quicker and has a lower load time and they are able to render more things at a higher graphical quality. Another way of showing how technology has improved is by talking about how there never used to be online gameplay on consoles because all games were offline whereas now we have games that are able to play either online with others or offline.
As well as console improving over many years mobile phones have come a long way to considering the first mobile phone call was made on April 3rd 1973. Compared to back then mobile phones have come a phenomenal way because they only just found out how to make it so a mobile phone could call, whereas now they have a higher degree of functionality. This is shown by the fact that as well as being able to make a phone call you are now able to text, play games, check your emails, surf the internet and much more.
The first electronic Television was invented on September 17th 1927 by a man called Philo Farnsworth who was 21 when he unveiled his invention.
